Private Practice

  • An interactive two-part workshop to be delivered at the commencement of the programme to set graduates up for success. This workshop will be delivered in person and is purposely designed to bridge the gap between legal education and the professional demands of practicing law, enhancing the day-to-day skills and competency of your graduates in an approachable environment.

  • An abridged version of The 12th Priestley to be delivered at the commencement of clerkship intakes. The content of this workshop is tailored to enhance short term performance and addresses essential skills required for experience based programmes (for example, drafting business development content).

  • Collective Focus would be pleased to deliver custom workshops which cover topics specified by a prospective firm. This type of workshop can address the challenges specific to a junior cohort at any stage and hone identified skills which require further development.

Tertiary Institutions

  • De Novo is designed to be delivered to second year students towards the beginning of the first semester. The timing for this workshop is intentional to have students considering their clerkship applications ahead of time.

This workshop encourages students to uncover aspects of their personal brand and develop strategies to guide their application process. These decisions should be driven by individual values. Students will also learn techniques to manage the mental burden of preparing numerous tailored applications.

Students are encouraged to think openly about their career prospects and will receive information on alternative pathways to enter the industry.

  • Bona Fide is designed to be delivered to third year students, soon to embark on their legal careers.

The workshop provides a window into the profession, so students can understand how their studies will be applied in practice. This can be difficult to visualise without experience, however it is beneficial to gain insight at an early stage.

Soon-to-be graduates will be empowered with the soft skills critical to success as a junior lawyer. Students will be encouraged to consider their approach to the industry and keep relationships and connection front of mind.
