Collective Focus exists to transform the daunting transition from law school to practice by equipping junior and soon-to-be lawyers with the skills, confidence and mindset to excel in their careers. Through interactive, practical workshops, we provide a safe space for new lawyers to gain critical day-to-day skills, manage their well-being, and ultimately feel empowered to take control of their professional journey.
Our vision is to reshape the early experiences of junior lawyers, fostering a new generation of competent legal professionals. We aim to be the leading provider of specialised skills training that not only benefits law graduates but also elevates the efficiency and profitability of law firms by ensuring their newest members are ready to hit the ground running. By alleviating the burden on law firms and universities, we ensure that new graduates and clerks are not only well-prepared, but also contribute more effectively from day one.
Meet the team
Kate co-founded Collective Focus in pursuit of challenging the legal industry to better support junior professionals.
Kate is a practitioner working in the planning, environment, public and commercial spaces. Kate assists clients to navigate their unique and complex legal issues. Previously, Kate worked for a major international firm, where she handled contractual disputes within the energy and resources sector.
Throughout her career, Kate has seen first hand the challenges faced by juniors entering the profession and the under resourcing of firms to nurture these relationships at an early stage.
Kate has made a conscious effort to act as a listening ear and mentor law students and juniors to bridge the gap between study and practice.
Alyce co-founded Collective Focus to bring balance and synergy to people, teams and businesses.
With a decade of experience, Alyce serves as a business consultant for a global company transforming businesses across multiple industries. In this space, Alyce specialises in enhancing operational efficiencies and revenue generation.
Alyce is passionate about coaching leadership and employees to reach their objectives and believes that understanding a team’s individual and collective motivation is the key to success.
